BECOMING AN OUTWARD FACING CHRISTIAN by Randy Pope “Becoming an Outward Facing Christian” is based on Randy Pope’s book, The Answer, and the stories of his lifelong experiences of meeting with and sharing the gospel with unchurched people. This brief study will radically change your paradigm of evangelism and will demonstrate all you need to know, say, and do to turn yourself inside-out for the lost world around you. Each week’s video will inspire and equip you to share the love, hope, and grace of Christ. The best part is each group member will have a chance to try it first with each other and see just how simple and comfortable it can be engaging, exposing, and sharing your faith with your family, friends, and others.
JOHN, THE WAY TO TRUE LIFE by Douglas Connelly - LISTEN ONLINE! Every event recorded in John's Gospel is purposefully designed to prove that Jesus is God the Son. In Genesis, God promised to send a Messiah. John's Gospel proclaims that Messiah came! His Name is Jesus. In Genesis, God the Son interacted with His people. Long before Bethlehem, it was the pre-incarnate Jesus who walked in the Garden with Adam & Eve, who visited Abraham, who wrestled with Jacob. Then God became flesh and now walks with us. Studying John's Gospel brings the principles of Genesis to life. Discover beautiful parallels between phrases such as "Let there be light" and "I am the Light of the world." See new significance in Old Testament sacrifices because every detail of the cross confirms that Jesus is The Lamb of God. It doesn't matter how many times you've studied John - there is so much more to learn. Like first century disciples, we will sit at the feet of Jesus and listen. The first words spoken by Jesus in John's Gospel are "What do you want?" and His last words are "You must follow Me." Come along on the adventure!
PRAYERLIFE by Paul Miller Let's face it, prayer is hard. Our failed attempts to have a rich prayer life often end in quiet desperation. Feeling defeated and robbed of joy, we settle for less. We expect less. PRAYERLIFE inspires people to pray in vibrant connection with God. We will learn to pray the way Jesus did: like a child, coming as we are, asking anything, with eyes to see the Father's story unfolding in us. This study is not for the victorious Christian, but the one that struggles with a daily prayer life.
LIVING IN A PLURALISTIC SOCIETY by Timothy Keller This class will study three favorite Old Testament characters, Daniel, Joseph, and Esther, who lived faithfully in the midst of faithless societies. They had to make difficult decisions about how to serve God in intensely secular settings. Like them, we are faced with the problem of living in a pluralistic society. We know that when God’s people live the wrong way in the midst of religious pluralism the results can be disastrous. We can learn a great deal from these heroes about how to engage and influence our unbelieving culture while remaining distinctly God’s people. It is encouraging to know that with the help of the Holy Spirit we can live victoriously for Christ in a world that sometimes seems upside down. Everyone is invited to come join this highly relevant and uplifting study. |
